Access Control

Intercom and Access Control

From a walk-up buzzer that stopped buzzing to a fob system for a whole lobby, access control is lock work with wiring attached.

What we service and install

Why buildings move past metal keys

A lost fob gets deactivated in the system. A lost master key means rekeying doors. That difference is the whole argument for access control in buildings with turnover, and it is why management companies tend to adopt it lobby-first.

Repair before replacement

Many dead buzzers are a transformer, a wire, or a corroded button rather than a dead system. We diagnose the existing installation before recommending a new one, and we tell you which parts are actually worth keeping.

Common questions

Our intercom is decades old. Can it be fixed?

Often, yes. Legacy systems can frequently be repaired at the component level, and where they cannot, modern panels exist that reuse existing wiring runs.

Can tenants get extra fobs?

Fobs are issued under the building's own policy. We set the system up so management controls who gets credentials and can retire them at any time.
